I sent funds on the wrong network

What happens when crypto is sent on a different network, and how to get it back.

Sent to your own CoinExle address

Your Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon addresses are the same. If USDT was sent on the wrong one of these networks to your CoinExle address, the funds are in your wallet:

  1. Go to Assets → Manage and turn on the token for that network (for example USDT BEP20 or USDT Polygon).
  2. The balance appears. You can swap it or send it back on the right network. You'll need a little BNB or POL for the network fee.

Sent to an exchange or another person

Only the receiver can return the funds. Contact the exchange's support with the transaction hash (TxID), or ask the person to send it back.

TRON and Bitcoin

TRON and Bitcoin addresses look different from 0x addresses, and CoinExle checks the address format before sending, so mixing them up is blocked in the app.
