Report scam & fraud

What to do if you were scammed or someone is pretending to be CoinExle.

Updated October 19, 2026

If you sent crypto to a scammer

  1. Stop sending more — scammers often ask for "fees" to return funds. They never do.
  2. Save the transaction hash (TxID), the scammer's address and screenshots of the chat.
  3. In India, report it at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930. If the funds went to an exchange, the police can ask the exchange to freeze the account.
  4. Tell us through the support form so we can warn other users.

If someone pretends to be CoinExle

We will never message you first, ask for your recovery phrase, or ask you to "verify" or "sync" your wallet on a website. Report fake accounts and websites through the support form.

Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed by CoinExle or anyone else — acting fast and reporting is the best way to help recovery.
