Cross-chain swaps (BTC ⇄ USDT and more)
How swaps between networks work, how long they take and how to track them.
Updated October 19, 2026
Cross-chain swaps let you move between networks — for example Bitcoin → USDT (TRC20) or TRX → ETH — without an exchange account.
How it works
- CoinExle asks its exchange partners for a price and picks the one that gives you the most coins.
- Your coins are sent from your wallet to the partner's deposit address.
- The partner sends the new coins to your own CoinExle address.
How long it takes
Usually 10–30 minutes, depending on network confirmations (Bitcoin can be slower).
Track your swap
Open Activity — the swap shows as Pending and changes to Confirmed when the new coins are sent. If notifications are on, you also get a message.
Good to know
- There is a minimum amount for each pair; the app tells you if your amount is too small.
- The rate is floating, so the final amount can differ slightly from the estimate.
- If a swap fails, the partner refunds the coins to your sending address.
